I received a Ph.D. in mathematics from The Johns Hopkins University. For most of my career I taught high school mathematics in Waldorf schools, where the pedagogy encourages the bridging of mathematics and art. I used to make geometric models for classroom use. Since retiring, I have enjoyed making more models, perfecting my techniques, and I have been exhibiting them as well. The Bridges organization holds annual conferences around the world with lectures, workshops, and exhibits on the theme of bridging mathematics and art. At the 2015 conference in Baltimore, MD, I created an exhibit, entitled "The Platonic Solids: a Three-Dimensional Textbook." This website presents photos, video, and text from that exhibit.
